Rental Terms
All vehicle rentals are governed by a comprehensive Rental Agreement, which you will receive upon booking confirmation or at the time of vehicle collection. This document outlines the specific terms, conditions, insurance coverage, fees, and your obligations related to the rental. In case of any discrepancies between these Terms and the Rental Agreement, the Rental Agreement will prevail.
Eligibility Criteria
Renting a vehicle requires:
- To hire a vehicle from Car Hire in Bispham, you must be at least 21 years old, though some vehicle types may have different age requirements. A valid driving licence appropriate for the vehicle category is necessary, along with identification and proof of address. Payment details, including a security deposit, must also be provided. Please review the Rental Agreement for any additional criteria.
Booking and Payment Details
- Reservations can be made via our website, over the phone, or at our Bispham location. A deposit may be necessary to confirm your booking. The remaining balance and any security deposit are generally required upon vehicle pickup. All pricing is displayed in British Pounds (£) and includes VAT where relevant. We accept major credit and debit cards through secure transactions with established payment processors.
Vehicle Pickup and Drop-off
- At the time of vehicle collection in Bispham, it is your responsibility to conduct a thorough inspection and report any pre-existing damage without delay. A vehicle condition report will be generated and must be signed by both parties. The vehicle should be returned in the same state as when collected, aside from normal wear and tear. Any new damage will be evaluated and may result in additional charges. Ensure that the vehicle is returned with the same fuel level as it was provided; refueling fees will apply if it is returned with less fuel. Late returns can lead to extra fees, so please notify us as soon as possible if you anticipate a delay. You will be liable for any parking fines, traffic violations, or other charges accrued during the rental period, in addition to an administration fee.
Insurance and Responsibility
- All rentals come with basic third-party insurance. Comprehensive coverage information and excess amounts are outlined in the Rental Agreement. You may have the option to purchase additional insurance to lower your financial exposure. It is advisable to assess these options closely. You will be liable for any damage or loss up to the excess amount unless additional insurance applies. Any damage resulting from negligence or misuse remains your responsibility, regardless of insurance coverage.
6. Modifications and Cancellations
Cancellation and amendment policies differ based on the type of booking and the notice period provided. For precise information, please consult your booking confirmation or Rental Agreement. Charges may apply for late cancellations or no-shows, which could impact your overall rental experience.
7. Restricted Activities
Prohibited Vehicle Uses
- The vehicle must not be used for any illegal activities. Activities such as racing, off-roading, or other dangerous pursuits are prohibited. Transporting hazardous materials is not allowed. Sub-letting or permitting unauthorized drivers is not permitted. Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs is strictly forbidden. The vehicle should only be used for intended purposes, not exceeding passenger or weight limits. Driving outside designated geographical boundaries requires prior approval.
Breach of these terms may lead to rental cancellation and extra fees.
Liability Limitations
To the fullest extent allowed by English and Welsh law, Car Hire Bispham is not responsible for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including loss of profits, data, or business, resulting from your use of our services. Our overall liability for any claims will not exceed the total rental amount paid in the previous 12 months. This limitation does not apply to cases of negligence leading to death or personal injury, nor to instances of fraud.
9. Local Jurisdiction
These Terms are regulated by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will fall under the jurisdiction of the English and Welsh courts.
10. Updates to Terms
We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Changes take effect immediately upon posting on our website. Continued use of our services indicates acceptance of the revised Terms.
